Josum Gains New Indexations
After months of evaluation, the Journal of Sustainable Urban Mobility, Josum, the scientific Journal edited by the Institute for Research Multiplicity Urban Mobility (IPMMU), has just conquered three more indexations: Aura, General Impact Factor and, most important, Diadorim. The Journal, including Latindex, Google Scholar, Sumarios, ResearchBib, EuroPub e a Eurasian Scientific Journal Index, now receive 13 indexations.
The indexing is a process that some journals undergo, evaluated by the indexing institution for points such as editing, ethics, editorial policy, and receipt of originals. Diadorim is an information service on authorizations granted for storing and accessing articles from Brazilian journals in open-access digital repositories. It is part of the set of open-access services of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT), an institution linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation.
Diadorim identifies, systematizes, and makes available the information from the policies established by the publishers of Brazilian journals regarding the storage of articles in institutional repositories. The indexer works with a color system that is the most widely used system internationally to categorize the editorial policies of scientific journals. The Sherpa/Romeo directory created the system, which is a service similar to Diadorim but focuses on the European region. Josum received the blue category, which signals that the Journal allows storage and access to the post-print version of an article.
The Journal has also been indexed in Aura, a space from which AmeliCA aims to reflect the general state of scientific journals concerning openness policies and publication exploitation rights. AmeliCA was founded in 2018 and is a communication infrastructure for scholarly publishing and open science. In turn, the other new indexing, General Impact Factor (GIF), was created in 2012 by 65 scientists from various countries. GIF provides academic database services for researchers, with citation indexing, analysis, and database maintenance covering thousands of academic journals, books, proceedings, and other documents.
