Call for papers, essays, and interviews in the Journal of Sustainable Urban Mobility

The Josum is a scientific journal edited by the Instituto de Pesquisa Multiplicidade Mobilidade Urbana - IPMMU. It is the only Brazilian scientific journal specifically focused on the theme of sustainable urban mobility. The journal differentiates itself by publishing unpublished and concise articles in an innovative format. Researchers can submit papers in the modalities of a scientific article, data article, essay, and interview. In the guidelines for authors, there are specific rules for categories.

The journal is a scientific publication that comes to fill a gap within the area of urban mobility, creating a field of interaction between the humanities and exact sciences, publishing relevant data for public policy guidance, calculating and measuring results, and contributing to the advancement of research in this area of studies. Josum works for open science, and all data published by the authors are also available.

Before reopening the journal to receive papers, the Institute adjusted the OJS - Open Journal System and created the Editorial Board, made up of notable people and experts in their fields. They are responsible for advising the Journal team and approving and supervising the publication's editorial policy. One of the concerns in the construction of the Council was the representativeness of gender, race, and different regions of Brazil.

During the first half of 2022, we made a public call for people to register as reviewers. More people participating in the evaluations will ensure the deadline of 70 days for the publication of an article from submission. Having at least a Master's degree is necessary to be a Josum reviewer. The journal pays the reviewers per evaluated text to ensure the quality of these evaluations and compliance with deadlines.
